Maritime musem is located in the center of Orebic. It was founded in 1957. with a diverse historic material of that vital activity in local scope. Archeology department consists mainly of roman, pegann and early christian artifacts from everyday life and fragments of artwork.
Museum also contains paintings of Peljesacsailing ships shown on vayages and in combat with pirates from 17th to the end of the 19thcentury, ships tools, nautical books, health and travel papers, medals and mariners pictures, documents, reglations, crewlists, shares and Peljesac maritime society rulebook about sailors insurance.
